Tom Haren, CEO
Tom founded AGPROfessionals in 2000. Previously, he was the Vice President at Envirostock Inc. from 1997-2000, which he also purchased in 2002. He was Vice President of Environmental Services at the Colorado Livestock Association from 1997 to 2000, and the Director of Natural Resources at Colorado Cattle Feeders Association from 1994 to 1997. Tom began his career at Stewart Environmental Consultants in Fort Collins in 1992.
In 1992, Tom received (with Honors) his Associate of Science in Environmental Science and Hazardous Materials from Front Range Community College. He also studied Construction Management and Civil Engineering at Colorado State University and Biology at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. Tom served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. During his service, he also held the rank of Drill Instructor in Fort Benning, GA, and Fort Jackson, SC, from 1988 to 1992.
He is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, a WSO Certified Safety Specialist and Registered Ag Consultant. He was President of the Coal Creek Irrigation Company from 1997 to 2002, Board Member of the Colorado Horse Council from 1998 to 2007, and is currently a member of the National Western Stock Show and the Weld County Farm Bureau. Tom also served on the Weld County Agricultural Advisory Committee in 1997 and in 2007. He currently serves as Chairman on the Executive Committee of Upstate Colorado Economic Development.

Chad TeVelde, P.E.
Sr. Professional Engineer
A native of southern California, Chad grew up on a 1,000 cow dairy in Chino. He owned and operated a dairy in partnership with his brother in Royal, NE, until 2002, when he chose to pursue his consulting engineer career, specializing in dairy and building design. Chad provided support in permitting for dairy buildings, dairy ponds, general development and drainage at the county, air district, and water board level for a company located in Visalia, CA. He joined AGPROfessionals in 2011. Chad earned his B.S. in Ag Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Patricia A. Spaine, P.E.
Sr. Environmental Engineer and Regulatory & Agronomy Manager
Trish holds a Masters of Civil Engineering degree from N.C. State University in the areas of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and Nebraska. She holds certifications from OSHA for hazardous operations, site supervision and confined spaces; from CDOT for Erosion Control Supervisor; from the Corps of Engineers for Design Project Management and Construction Quality Management Supervision. Her specialty areas include compliance planning and audits, multi-media environmental assessments, ground and surface water protection, erosion control, waste management and minimization, treatment process designs, monitoring network design, spill delineation and remediation, along with field project quality control and execution. In her free time she enjoys travel, especially road trips with her dog Clementine to meet up with family and friends.
Managing Broker – Real Estate
A Colorado native, Ryan obtained his Colorado real estate license in 1999. An active member of the Realtors Land Institute, Ryan also earned the esteemed Accredited Land Consultant designation through RLI. He is currently licensed in CO, KS, MT, NE, NM, NV, SD and WY and is a member of the Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming Board of Realtors. He also serves on the Larimer County Rural Land Use Advisory Board. Ryan grew up farming and raising cattle on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. He was active in 4-H and FFA, including being the Star Greenhand for his FFA chapter. One of Ryan’s specialties is site selection for new dairies and feedlots and the resale of farms, ranches, dairies and feedlots throughout the west. Ryan enjoys time at the lake in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.
Planning & Government Relations Manager
Tim is a Colorado native with a B.S. in Animal Science from Colorado State University. His expertise lies in the due diligence and analysis process for all land use permitting, and facilitates zoning permits for our clients’ operations. Tim was involved in the design, engineering, management and operations of several large poultry layer facilities in both Washington and Colorado and was instrumental in developing and implementing programs for food safety and quality, including HACCP and ISO 9000 under the USDA guidelines. He was also involved with engineering review and geotechnical assessment for a geotechnical engineering firm in northern Colorado. Tim’s hobbies include fly fishing, reading and brewing.

Technical Editor & Project Assistant
Anne’s experience includes 20 years of federal government service, contract administration, procurement, budgeting, clerical and administrative support. She has provided project support for AGPROfessionals for the last two years. Some of Anne’s hobbies include oil painting, gardening and travel.
Associate Broker – Real Estate
Bob was raised on his family’s cattle ranch in New Mexico which has been in the Moser family for four generations. He has an extensive background in beef cattle production from ranching to feedlot management and packer buyer. Bob is the past president of Colorado Livestock Association (CLA) and a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA). He is a licensed Colorado real estate broker and enjoys serving his real estate clients and spending time with family and friends.
On-Point Advantage Solutions Coordinator
Katharine was raised on a large dairy farm in Delta, Utah, where her family still milks 4,000 Holstein and Jersey cows. She was active in 4-H and FFA, where she showed registered Holstein cows, participated in prepared public speaking events, and enjoyed judging dairy cattle all over the Western United States. Katharine graduated from Utah State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, where her major focus areas were Dairy Science and Agriculture Leadership, and a minor in Political Science. She and her husband Jimmy moved to Colorado in May of 2015 to pursue a career in the dairy industry and as an FFA advisor, respectively. Katharine is passionate about all aspects of the dairy industry, and is particularly focused on ensuring that industry policy is by and for farmers, and keeps their best interests top of mind. Her love of cows is evident in her own small herd of registered Holsteins, which are currently housed together with her family’s larger herd in Utah. Katharine’s hobbies include reading everything she can find, biking Colorado country roads, ongoing attempts at getting her cows to have heifer calves, and hanging out with her husband and their miniature Australian shepherd, Ace.
Valene Lickley, E.I.T
Valene was raised on a generational farm and ranch in Idaho. She is a CSU graduate in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Soil and Water with additional Animal Science emphasis. Her professional focus is on CAFO (Confined Animal Feeding Operation) compliance and agricultural engineering design of feedlots, dairy ponds and drainages. She is managing our efforts to streamline our data gathering and management into a fully digital format. Valene’s past experience includes working for CSU’s ARDEC (Agriculture Research Development Education Center) feedlot and her family’s cow-calf operation. In her free time she enjoys moving cows, riding horses and traveling.
Sr. Land Planner
With over 18 years of experience, Deanne is licensed in Colorado and offers a variety of professional skills, including planning and design. She is particularly skilled in public facilitation, technical writing, and public presentation. Deanne has a Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, Cum Laude, CSU. Deanne received a number of academic achievement awards, including Colorado Chapter of the ASLA’s Student Recognition, CAD, Professional Practice and National Honor Award.
Janine Baratta, CCA
Janine is a native New Yorker, and has been in Colorado and with AGPROfessionals for 14 years. She has a B.S. in Animal Science from Oregon State University and an M.S. in Agronomy from the University of Maryland. Prior to joining AGPROfessionals, Janine spent 13 years with the Maryland Cooperative Extension in a variety of roles, including as a 4-H Agent, Regional Livestock Agent and Regional Nutrient Management Specialist. Janine’s focus at AGPROfessionals is on environmental & regulatory compliance and nutrient management planning. Some of Janine’s favorite activities outside of the office are hiking, biking, camping, and traveling.
Sr. Engineering Technician
Jim is a native of Northeastern Colorado and grew up on a farm near Hoyt. He graduated from Trinidad State Jr. College in 1977 with an Associate’s Degree in Design Drafting and Surveying. Jim has an extensive background in land development, including subdivisions, grading and drainage, roads, infrastructure and structural design/drafting and has over 20 years of experience in civil engineering design, drafting and construction management. He is a past member of the Board of Trustees for the Town of Wiggins as well as having been their Town Administrator. In his free time, Jim enjoys gardening, reading and fishing.
Born and raised in Greeley, CO, Thad joined AGPROfessionals as our Field Technician. He currently attends CSU with a double major in Agriculture Business and Soil & Crops Science. He served two internships with CSU over the last two years. Thad spends his free time boating and playing pond hockey and hunting in the winter months.
Engineering & Construction Technician
With a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Colorado State University-Pueblo, Tyler works with our staff to coordinate construction observation & engineering services to keep the project on track and deliver high quality to our clients. Prior to joining AGPROfessionals, Tyler worked as a cowboy at Ordway Cattle Company and was a hydraulic technician for the U.S. Geological Survey, Department of the Interior, where he specialized in surveying, discharge measurements, groundwater data collection and analysis, and construction observation. During his free time, Tyler spends time training horses and fishing.
Mary Carlson, E.I.T.
Mary is a Colorado native and grew up on a family farm in Mead. She has a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a Masters degree in Environmental Engineering from CSU and came to AGPROfessionals seeking a career that combined her education in engineering with her background in agriculture. Prior to joining AGPROfessionals, Mary participated in the development and implementation of an air monitoring risk assessment project in eastern Colorado. Mary has attained her Engineer-in Training status and is currently working towards obtaining her P.E. license. She will focus on improving the designs of agricultural facilities. During her free time, Mary enjoys camping, fishing and spending time with friends and family.
Sr. CAD Designer
David has over 20 years of experience in the civil design field. David spent several years as a drafter in the environmental and mining industries. His work shifted to land development and he learned civil design in the areas of lot grading, site layout, road design, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, potable water, etc. David’s project design experience includes: commercial site development, residential development, highway interchange, inter-city road design, mine reclamation, and creek restoration. David enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren working and playing around their small-acreage farm. David is very involved with the church that he and his family attend regularly.
Projects Administrative Coordinator
Jodi brings 25 years of administrative assistant experience to AGPROfessionals. The majority of that time was spent in construction/development at Central Weld County Water District. While in construction, Jodi helped with the entitlement process of land and tracking projects to make sure they were on time and budget. At the water district she was responsible for utility billing to nine towns and roughly 1,800 customers. Jodi is from NW Iowa, but Colorado has been home for 35 years. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her family and friends, attending sporting events, camping, and riding her Harley.
