AGPROfessionals had a wonderful night at the Weld Food Bank’s Stone Soup 2026 event. It was an evening filled with energy, generosity, and a shared commitment to fighting hunger in Weld County, Colorado, where we were founded and are still headquartered.
The evening was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with purpose. We had fun with this year’s 70’s theme, and “boogied on down” for a cause that continues to make a real difference in the lives of local families. The generosity shown at this year’s event will translate directly into:
- More meals for families facing tough times
- Expanded programs for children and seniors
- Greater reach into underserved rural areas
A Cause That Matters
Behind the celebration is a very real and growing need. Even more telling, demand for services has surged in recent years, with the food bank now serving twice as many individuals as in previous years.
- More than 28,000 people in Weld County face food insecurity, including thousands of children and seniors.
- That equates to roughly 1 in 8 individuals and 1 in 8 children experiencing hunger.
- Weld Food Bank distributes over 12 million meals annually, helping bridge a food budget shortfall of nearly $19 million across the county.
In a county known for its strong agricultural roots and productivity, these numbers are a sobering reminder that food insecurity can exist anywhere, even in the heart of America’s food supply.
